Haruka and Michiru
Michiru was romantically linked with Haruka Tenou. Although the anime was not graphic, there were hints given (especially during the Stars season) that Michiru and Haruka had a physical relationship. In the North American dub, however, Michelle (Michiru) and Amara (Haruka) were changed to "cousins" in order to avoid controversy surrounding homosexuality.* Let them love, it's so romantic, and pure. Two people who would give up everything, just to touch each other one last time. Its more that "lesbian" love, it's a spiritual, and romantic love.Zoisite and Kunzite
In the NA anime, Zoisite is a female. But in the original anime, she is not a girl. He is a male, who loves Kunzite. The romantic relationship between Zoisite and Kunzite was an invention of the anime and does not exist in the manga; the Materials Collection stated that Zoisite and Kunzite are more like brothers, with Zoisite acting as the younger brother. In the anime Zoisite was trained by Kunzite and the two were lovers; he could often be seen in the arms of Kunzite, who reassured the younger Shitennou when things went wrong. Fish Eye is a male, who dresses as a female. In the NA version Fish Eye was a girl, but this simply is not true. Western Culture just isn't ready for cross dressers, or homosexuals. If you have ever read manga you will notice a lot of characters like to cross dress, such as Mimoji and Ritsu from Fruits Basket, which is one of the best selling Shojo Manga's in America. So, Fish Eye is a man who likes other men, and is very beautiful, so he wears women's clothes. Get used to it.*Source WikiMoon |
